We arrived in Punta Arenas, Chile on January 24th and explored the city on our own. Punta Arenas is the capital of the southern most region of Chile on the Brunswick Peninsula and part of the Chilean Patagonia.

This is the Sara Braun Cemetery considered one of the most beautiful cemeteries in the world. We would have to agree!
These bell shaped bushes were everywhere
We noticed gravestones would have a list of several family member's names on the them and wondered if they bury them on top of each other. We found our answer...
We found this plot ready for its first family member. We actually saw a cemetery worker near this plot and asked the question. He didn't speak English but he understood what we were asking and told us, "Si, siete personas." So, we guess they have a limit of 7.
These plots were for the more wealthy families and were similar to a row of houses on a street.
Sara Braun Palace
We walked up 120 steps to a wonderful view point of the city
Government building
Our cafe treat
We walked back to our ship along the coastal boardwalk with some really good views
Stray dogs were everywhere. This one followed us quite a while until he realized we weren't going to feed him.
