We've worked a little bit this week and we've played a little bit this week. Our hosts have been very flexible and we've been able to see a lot in this area.
Newcastle Harbour
Linda weeded the flower bed at our host's house
A neighbor drove through a fence at our host's house a few weeks ago so they asked David if he thought he could repair it - No problem
On Friday we took the bus to Newcastle City Center and the Harbour
A Bobby helping some tourist
Walking around Newcastle Harbour
They had an ocean filled lap pool
Newcastle Clock Tower
The Old Newcastle Post Office built in 1873
King Edward Park
We saw a playground so we had to play!
Bar Beach
After walking along the water's edge we decided to head inland and came upon a church selling "Traditional Christmas Pudding". We tried going in, but it was closed.
Before the end of the day we found a shopping center so we went in for some sushi
On Saturday we went to Blackbutt Reserve Park where there were trails to hike with wild animals and birds - We saw Koalas!
Another lizard
The Koalas just sit up in the trees and eat Euculyptus tree leaves and sleep 20 hours a day
Just a few of the birds we saw today - left top (finch) - left middle (King Parrot) - left bottom (Eclectus Parrot) - right top (Eastern Rosella Lorikeet) - right bottom (White Cockatoo)
The time is flying by - We are half way through our 90 day adventure - Having a blast!
