We are doing well and eating great in Slovakia. This week Blazena's Mother visited and cooked most of our meals. She made many traditional Slovakian dishes. All were very good!
Our dessert was called Pirohy. They were a flour dumpling.
Some were filled with jam and some were filled with cheese.
On Wednesday, Oct 7th, we went to the town of Sabinov where Michal's uncle owns an electronic store. Since we are staying in Michal's uncles's apartment we asked if we could do something to help them in the store. Below are 2 churches in the center of Sabinov.
We washed the store front windows
Windows in the back of the store
Michal and Blazena's 5 year old son Jacob is warming up to David
David now has a friend
On Friday Michal had some jobs to do in 2 villages about an hour away so we got to go with him. Our first stop was in the town of Michalovce where Blazena was born and raised for 12
years. The town was named after the Archangel Michael. We found a nice coffee shop in the center with Illy coffee! "Fun!"
