We're having a great time helping out in Italy while getting to re-visit some of our favorite spots in this beautiful country.
Perfect afternoon drive to Barcis Lake up in the mountains
We're still working on Rob and Sandy's kitchen. All tile is removed and the walls cleaned from excess cement.
David painting on primer
David learned a new skill of plastering a wall. Almost ready to paint.
On Saturday we went to the church to do some work. David worked on the lawnmower and started mowing until one of the African guys at the church took over while David weed-eated.
Linda and some of the African men did some weeding.
David repairing a sink at the church
On Sunday, Serinessima said goodbye to the Mongomery's. We knew this wonderful family of 4 from when we were stationed at Aviano 8 years ago. Now they are a family of 8 as they adopted 4 more children from Poland. We were so happy we got to see them again!
Sunday BBQ after church - David and Reilly cooked the burgers and hotdogs
After church we drove about an hour away to "Lago Morto" (Dead Lake) for a baptism
This is pastor Rob and Itilo, a young Italian man, who turned to Christ after growing up in a catholic home. He has a wonderful testimony and we are sure he will be a great witness to other Italians and his family.

Being baptized in the frigid water of the lake
On Thursday we took a drive through the "Strada del Prosecco"which is a region where the best Prosecco in the world is produced.
We stopped at this winery and learned a lot about Prosecco
We stopped for lunch in the town of Valdobbiadene
Now this is "Bruschetta"! Real bruschetta is simply "grilled bread" rubbed with garlic and drizzled with olive oil. It can be topped with anything. The Italians certainly know how to make it great! And...they know how to say it! :) (Just a little pet peeve of ours!) It's prounounced "Bru - sket - ta"!
The town of Solighetto
Refrontolo Il Molinetto Della Croda - An old water mill from the 1700's.
