We spent our final week in Castlelyons getting a few things accomplished but mostly enjoying our time with our hosts Sebastion and Colette, and a few of their 4-legged friends.
We loved playing with these two. This is Diamond (the Mom) and her 4 month old colt Moonboy. They are such affectionate "Miniature American" horses and they loved attention!
This is Ziggy. We're going to miss him too!
And this is Harry. We threw the stick, any stick, hundreds of times; he never tires out!
Below are some of the tasks we completed this week
Cutting back the grapevines in the greenhouse
Both greenhouses had broken panes so David removed the broken glass and installed new plexiglass panes and reinstalled the door to the small house
While David worked on the greenhouses Linda cleaned out the
10 raised vegetable gardens
We moved all of this wood from a stable to the woodshed and restacked it
The stable all cleaned out and ready to use for the horses
Fall is in full swing so the leaves needed raked and bagged!
17 bags!
On Wednesday we took a short drive in the afternoon to Midleton to do a tasting tour at the Jameson Whiskey Distillery
Saying our goodbyes to Sebastion and Colette. We had such a great time getting to know them!
Saturday morning we picked up a rental car and started making our way North. We drove up the west coast and stopped at the Cliffs of Moher.
Had to stop for an afternoon snack in the quaint little town of Ballyvaughan
We also made a quick stop at "Flaggyshore"
We stopped for the night in Kinvarra where the Castle of Dunguaire is situated by the sea.
