Cross-Country Road Trip - Fox Glacier to Te Anau

We left our final "Workaway" location today at Fox Glacier and plan to spend the next few days traveling and sightseeing places we haven't seen yet.  Our road trip headed us through beautiful landscapes all the way to Queenstown then to Te Anau for the night.  We left the lush rain-forest where it was nearly impossible to walk throught woods to the trip of a lifetime.  These pictures are mostly taken while driving or at roadside stops to show the vast differences in this beautiful land in just 300 miles: awesome!!!  Enjoy.
West Coast - Haast

 Drive from Haast to Wanaka

 Drive along Wanaka Lake

 Puzzle Town in Wanaka
 Wanaka to Cardrona

Not too certain what this is, but called "Bradrona" a fence lined with bras.  It is in the area of a town called "Cardrona" and is for breast cancer awareness.

Pit stop!  Cardrona is a really neat, quaint little town with a hotel, restaurant, bar; a bit of a tourist trap.

 Old Chrysler

 Great cider and beautiful grounds

 Silly cat!

On the road again - Cardrona to Queenstown

Heading into Queenstown; oh my goodness!
 Lake Wakatipu

 Queenstown Center

Len and Julia, at the end of the table, are the last hosts we stayed with while in Australia.  They told us they were traveling in New Zealand with their parents so we met up with them in Queenstown for lunch at a very nice house they rented.  The next five pictures are from their dining room and balcony.  What a view!

 Walked around Queenstown after lunch.

Back on the road towards Te Anau: Stunning!

 Te Anau; just beautiful!

We head to Milford Sound in the morning and will go on a 2-hour cruise and tour the Fjord then another road trip to Dunedin.  More to come.
