Arriving in Sydney

After 25 hours of travel, we landed in Sydney, Australia 2 days after we left the US.  After a quick coffee in the airport we boarded the airport train to Sydney's Central train station and then made our way up the Central Coast near Tumbi Umbi.  We got a kick out of one of the train stations along our way called Woy Woy.  When approaching this station, it was pronounced "Wee Wee" in a typical Australian accent.

The scenery has been gorgeous so far.  This picture was just a snapshot out of our train window.
Once we got near our stop we found out there was "track work" being done on certain sections of the track so we had to get off the train and take a bus into the town where we were to be picked up by our hosts.  The house manager, Dorian picked us up in the town of Tuggerah and drove us to the house.  Dorian is from Belgium and has worked as the house manager for 18 months.  We'll try to get a picture of him later.

Our bedroom

We met James who is the owner of the house and was given a list of rules although we were told they aren't strict.  We won't actually start "working" until Monday so we decided to walk around the area to try and get acclimated and also to help us stay awake. Below are a few pictures we took on our walk.

The House we will be staying in for our first 4 weeks
Once we returned from our walk, we met 4 other workawayers who are also staying at this house.  One was from Holland, one from Italy, one from Austria and the forth came in later so we didn't catch where he was from.  Seems like a really nice group of people.  Looking forward to seeing how the weeks play out.
