We're on the road again this time in a familar area where we used to live in Italy. We contacted the pastor where we went to church to see if they could use our help for a few weeks. They have many projects going on right now which should keep us quite busy.

Our first project was some renovation work in pastor Rob and Sandy's kitchen. We removed tiles from 2 walls and will re-plaster and paint. More to come...

On Wednesday Rob took us around to some of the projects the church is involved with. The picture above is pastor Rob and a pastor of a small Romanian church. They use this warehouse to hold bible studies and also gather things to send to refugee camps in war-torn Ukraine.
They gather all sizes and types of clothing and bundle together to prepare for shipment to the Ukraine.
They save every piece of metal they can get and will turn it in for money to help the refugees.
This is a refugee camp in Oderzo, Italy at an old military barracks. You can see the tents set up over the walls of the base.
This is the front gate of the refugee camp, but it is strictly monitored and we were not allowed to go in.
We drove to Vittorio Veneto where there is another refugee camp inside an old Monestary.

We had a meeting with the head Catholic priest of the area to talk about the projects the church would like to help with.

Ah yes, the sound of freedom! A few C130's from Ramstein flying overhead. We also got to watch 4 F-16s, from the end of the runway, take off last night in the dark; what a treat!
